Michael C. Kidman Michael C. Kidman / Audit Officer

Michael received a master's degree in business administration and is a magna cum laude graduate in accounting of Utah State University. He has CPA certificates from Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. Michael joined the firm in 1986 and has served clients for the past 24 years in areas such as manufacturing, construction, retail, SEC reporting, pension plans, governmental entities and various other industries. He is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association and the Association of Government Accountants. He also holds the professional designation of Certified Government Financial Manager.

Brent S. Sandberg Brent S. Sandberg / Tax Officer

Mr. Sandberg received a Bachelors degree and Masters of Accountancy with an emphasis in tax from UtahStateUniversity. Prior to joining Jones Simkins in 1995, Mr. Sandberg worked for ten years for Ernst & Young in Salt Lake City. He provided complex tax and estate planning services for individuals and large retail, insurance, and manufacturing clients. He also taught local and national training courses.

Mr. Sandberg is past chair of the Northern Utah Estate Planning Council and a member of both the Utah Association and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2001 he was awarded the SBA Accounantant Advocate of the Year for
Utah.

Active in the community, Mr. Sandberg is the past chair of the Cache Chamber of Commerce, current secretary/treasurer of Sunshine Terrace Foundation, and a member or Rotary. He is a graduate of Leadership Utah and
LeadershipCacheValley. An Eagle Scout, he continues to be an active leader and supporter of Scouting.

Brent is originally from Hurricane,
Utah. He is married to Allyson. They have four children and one grandchild. He currently lives in North Logan, Utah. He enjoys hiking, camping, Aggie basketball, and a good book.

Mark E. Low Mark E. Low / Audit Officer

Mr. Low received a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Utah State University. He is the lead audit partner on all of the firm’s SEC reporting clients and also serves as the audit partner on many private clients. He has CPA certificates from Utah and Idaho, and has 22 years experience providing audit and consulting services in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, retail, construction, oil and gas, and various other industries.

H. Paul Gibbons H. Paul Gibbons / Tax Officer

Mr. Gibbons received a Masters of Accounting degree from Utah State University. He has a CPA certificate from Utah. During his 12 years in the profession, Mr. Gibbons has been a contract controller for a publicly traded manufacturing company and taught at Utah State University. Mr. Gibbons specializes in tax accounting for publicly traded and closely held businesses in manufacturing, oil & gas, real estate, restaurant, and various other industries.

Robert Robert "Bob" Thomas / Tax Officer

Mr. Thomas is a CPA licensed to practice in Utah. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and an MBA from Utah State University. He worked for an accounting firm in Rexburg, Idaho prior to joining Jones Simkins, PC and has over 15 years of accounting and tax experience advising clients in many areas including manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, agriculture, and construction.

Mr. Thomas enjoys spending his free time with his wife and five sons. They are generally involved in the sport of the season, camping, boating, scouts, or trying to be in three different places all at the same time. Mr. Thomas is heavily involved in the community and is a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Utah and the current president of the Cache Education Foundation.

Paul Campbell Paul Campbell / Tax Officer

Mr. Campbell received a Masters of Taxation degree from the University of Denver and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Accounting from Utah State University. He has a CPA certificate with the state of Utah. Prior to joining Jones Simkins in 2006, Mr. Campbell was the Chief Financial Officer for Wasatch Property Management where he oversaw tax planning strategies for real estate transactions and managed financial department of the development division of the company. Prior to his position at Wasatch Mr. Campbell worked with the accounting firms of KMPG and Arthur Andersen where he performed work for clients in a variety of industries including staffing services, retail sales, venture capitalists, airlines, construction, and others. He specializes in the areas of Partnership and S Corporation Taxation.
